Anime (pronounced AH-nee-may ) is a term for a style of Japanese comic book and video cartoon animation in which the main characters have large doe-like eyes. Many Web sites are devoted to anime. Anime is the prevalent style in Japanese comic books or manga . In Japan, the comic book is a popular form of entertainment for adults as well as for younger audiences. Story lines are often very sophisticated and complex and extend into episodic series. Typical anime themes or genres include Ninja and other martial arts; the supernatural or horror story; the romance; and science fiction including robots and space ships. Foils for the main characters, including robots, monsters, or just plain bad people, often lack the doe-eyed quality. Usually Anime are adopted from 'Manga' which are comics in japan just with much depth to it compared to their American counterparts, Also some Anime are adopted from light novels and games.
Variations of anime called hentai and ecchai are sexually-oriented. Doujinshi is the term for "autonomous comics," or comics written and distributed by independent and often amateur devotees of anime.

WHAT IS
SO GOOD ABOUT IT?
Anime are goddamn good!! And for good reasons. Firstly,
because of its source, because it originates from Japan, that acts as a bit
of a natural filter. It takes extra time and money to translate it from it's
natural language. If the Anime is very bad, they are less likely to put the
time and money into translating it and promoting it. As a result you are less
likely to be aware of it to even consider watching it. Second because anime
comes from a country with a different culture, they have a naturally different
base for what they consider to be a utterly generic story. That means that
while to them a story may be utterly generic and forgettable, to you, who has a
different basis for what qualifies as utterly generic and forgettable, it seems
new and different.
Secondly Anime, or rather Japanese T.V has little to no
restrictions. Nudity, teenage sex, gore, murder, and many other psychologically
and physically dark themes are covered in some of the anime. This makes anime,
despite being just computer generated graphics, much more closer to real world
than T.V. Series and Movies which due to many restrictions cannot cover many
themes.
Thirdly, the characters’ facial expression, which cannot be
achieved by movie no matter how excellent the actors are, human face just can’t
'act' those changes in expressions while they can be
perfectly imitated by the computer. For example, anime characters
eyes are drawn bigger than those of a normal human making subtle changes in the
character’s emotion (expressed through his eyes) appear clearly to the viewer,
which cannot be achieved by any actor (not because of his talent but the normal
size of his eyes). This is also a reason why anime seem closer to real life.
HOW DO ANIME GET RELEASED?
Almost every anime(Except for Netflix originals and some others) get released episode by episode every week. There are four seasons in a year Winter, beginning in January, Spring, beginning in a April, Summer, beginning in July, and Fall beginning in October. The three months time of a season is called a 'Cour'. Most of the anime get released a the start of any of the four season and end with the end of the same or any other seasons. Each season have roughly 12 weeks so anime of 1 cour have episodes in range of 11 to 14, anime with cours have episodes in range of 23 to 26 and so on. More than a hundred anime get released every season, they can be new or sequel season of some old anime.
WHAT SHOULD I START WITH?
Death Note , a thirty seven episode anime, is considered by many, one of the best anime of all times, also is one the most frequent cherry-popper in the anime culture. Death Note is one of the best introduction anyone can receive after entering the anime world. A high-school student discovers a supernatural notebook that grants its user the ability to kill, no one can imagine how deep and complex story can be created with this opening thought but it does happen. It is anime as its best. It's slick, clever, and witty with the eccentric Best detective in the world and Japan's most intelligent student, in a game of cat and mouse. Most of the anime is the two brilliant minds trying to outwit each other. The plot is complex but easily laid out for you and the story is remarkably intelligent and inventive. All the while you're watching you think, "Wow, this can't possibly get any deeper," but each new episode proves you wrong. What you will like the most is that it is a very, very complex material but is flawless and easily presented, so each new development in the case comes as an excited shock. Even if you prefer romance over intensity Death Note is every one not matter what genre they like. IT will always remain a classic.........Unless Americans try to remake it.
WHERE CAN I WATCH IT?
I recommend watching anime on official sites like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Crunchyroll. However there are many sites which pirates anime and present it with ads. Kickassanime, kissanime, anime pahe are some of these sites. However they are illegal and I do not recommend them ;) .
